Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas Nashville! 2020 has not canceled Christmas in the Middle Tennessee area. From Christmas lights to breakfast with Santa, there is SO. MUCH. November 13-Jan 3, Nightly
Gaylord Opryland's Christmas celebration is our family's favorite event of the year! This year they have added so many special events to ensure safety and fun for the family. First, walking the hotel is a must! It is decorated beautifully and is sure to impress the whole family. They have also added a pop-up I love Christmas Movies experience. You will be able to walk through and interact with your favorite Christmas movies including The Elf, The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, The Year Without Santa Claus and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! In addition, they will have ice tubing, ice skating, gingerbread decorating stations, a letter to Santa station and a new socially distanced meeting with Santa himself! November 20-January 10 (Nightly 5-10 PM)
Cheekwood's Holiday Lights is a family favorite tradition. Take in the beauty of the holiday season with their one mile walk of lights glowing throughout the garden. You can also view live Reindeer and visit their new Children's Wonderland that will be decorated with 17 towering colorful light displays. The classic smores station, poinsettia tree and train display will be available as well.

November 4-December 18
This family tour includes a holiday tour through the mansion where you can discover what the Jackson children wrote to Santa and how their family traditions evolved over time. In addition you can make a Victorian-inspired holiday ornament and play with popular toys from the 1800s.
November 14-15 & 21-22
Multiple Christmas photo stations will be set up throughout the property. Bring a photographer or your camera phone for safe and socially distanced photos. The cost is $25 per vehicle.
November 7-December 24
Bass Pro Shop is providing a safe way to visit with Santa this year! At 5 PM on November 7th, Santa will arrive with a magic outdoor tailgating event! In addition to visiting with Santa and taking photos, families can mail letters to Santa and take home free holiday craft activities. Remember that you must reserve your time slot online!
November 13-January 3
For the 11th consecutive season, Dancing Lights of Christmas returns to the James E. Ward Agricultural Center. Hop in your car and enjoy Tennessee's largest synchronized light and music show with 2.5 miles of lights and music! Saturday's are the busiest day of the week, but they are open 7 days if you want a shorter wait. Tickets are $25 per car.
November 21-December 19
Take a ride to the North Pole on a train from the Tennessee Central Railway Museum. You can visit with Santa and his elves on this two hour round trip! There are refreshments and souvenirs on board!
November 20-January 4
What represents winter magic more than ice skating? The Fountains at Gateway is being transformed into a vibrant winter wonderland ice skating rink. Visit the shops, eat and skate for a night of family fun!
November 26- December 26
Open every night of the week, enjoy a mile of beautiful holiday lights set to classic Christmas music! Admission is from 5-9 nightly and prices range depending on car size.
November 7-December 24
Santa will be available for reservations only at Green Hills Mall throughout the holiday season. Masks are required for children ages 2 and up!
November 28, December 28-31, January 2, 9, 16 (10:00 AM)
Take a fun family hike for $10 per hiker and enjoy nature followed by hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows! Hikes are at Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary in Franklin, TN.
Join the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club for the 14th annual Breakfast with Santa benefiting Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Crafts, breakfast, special guest and pictures with Santa will all be apart of the experience.
Loveless Cafe will be hosting free family photos with a professional photographer in exchange for a donation of canned goods or a new toy for a child in need. You do need to reserve a time slot in advance. For safety, they are limiting photos to 5 families per 15 minute time slots. Santa will not be present, but you can take a picture in a life sized sleigh!
Decorate a regular sized cupcake and doll sized cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles! There is also an opportunity to decorate a doll sized wreath to add some sparkle to your season! Dress in your holiday best for this fun event!
The City of Franklin Parks Department will host a festive Christmas drive though experience at Eastern Flank Park. There will be lights, characters & more! You can drive through with your family from 5-8 PM on Friday and Saturday night.
Jingle Beat is presented by EAMOTION and is an outdoor drive-through light, sound and sensory experience that brings the joy of the holiday season! This event is for all ages and features time-entry ticketing with one ticket covering the admission of an entire vehicle. The event is at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
Every Saturday in December you can have brunch with Santa at 10:00 AM for only $10! There is also wagon sleigh rides, s'mores, photo ops, crafting stations and more throughout the day. On Friday nights they have also have movie nights available for children ages 4-15 so parents can have a night out or get shopping done. Visit their website for more information.
December 5-6 & 12-13
Come visit Columbia, Tennessee and visit Santa's Snow Shop for an hour! There will pancakes for children to top with yummy treats or Christmas cookies to decorate! You will also take home a simple craft and get to take a picture with Santa! In addition, there are food trucks, shopping, bounce houses, a petting zoo, snowball fights and more.
December 5 & 19
Take a photo with Santa and share your Christmas wishes inside the Market House. You can purchase breakfast from one of the restaurants in the market after or before! There will also be live music and holiday shopping.
Update your wish list and come see Santa for the 31st annual morning with Santa. Kids will be able to meet Santa, play games and more!
The tree lighting will be lit outside of the John P. Holt Library from 5:30-6:30.
The grounds Eastern Flank Battlefield Park in Franklin will be sprinkled with candy canes ready to be eaten from 6-8 PM! Bring a flashlight and hunt for holiday treats. There will be bags for kids to decorate before the hunt along with hot chocolate and cookies. Event is limited to 100 participants. Registration begins on November 16th.
This family friend event will feature two live shows, 10:30 AM & 12:30 PM. Santa will be available for free photos before and after the shows!
December 12 & 19
Bring your family, friends and your letter for Santa. He may be swimming around in the tank during your visit!
Drive through a Christmas village and experience some much needed wonder and joy! This event will take place from 4:30-6:30 PM at Bowie Nature Park in Fairview, TN.
Local shops, hot cocoa, sidewalk vendors, live music, kids crafting stations and more! This is sure to be a fun event for the whole family. You can also grab a socially distanced photo with Santa in his retro Flying Ham Trailer! The event will take place from 5-8 PM at 2416 Music Valley Drive.
This FREE event will focus on the story of Christmas and will feature live animals and music. From 6-8 PM at Concord Community Church, enjoy the live nativity event from the comfort of your car with your family.
The Murfreesboro Christmas Parade is one of the few that is still occurring in person this year. At 2 PM on Sunday, you can line the streets to see all the sights and sounds of Christmas parade!
The two hour show will be televised on NewsChannel 5 at 7 PM!
December 18, 19 & 20
This FREE event is an opportunity to enjoy a live nativity scene complete with real animals and thousands of Christmas lights. You can hear the nativity story from the comfort of your car as you drive through. The event takes place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 6-8 PM.
